Field of use

Ambroxolhydrochloride Stada 30 mg/5 ml syrup (pack size: 250 ml) for the mucus solution for diseases of the bronchi and lungs.

If viscous mucus makes it difficult to cough up
In the case of diseases of the airways, increased mucus production often occurs in the bronchi and lungs. Tough mucus can make sick people heavy the detachment. Ambroxol-hydrochloride STADA® loosens the mucus and makes coughing easier. The expectorant syrup can be taken easier than tablets, especially in the case of pain in the neck and throat.

What do you do if you have taken too much ambroxol hydrochloride STADA®?
No cases of poisoning with ambroxol hydrochloride are known. The symptoms observed in accidental overdosing and/or drug variety are different with the known side effects of ambroxol hydrochloride that can occur in the recommended dosage. Symptomatic treatment may be required.

Can ambroxol hydrochloride STADA® be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
There is no evidence of side effects during pregnancy. Nevertheless, ambroxol hydrochloride STADA® should not be taken during the first 3 months of pregnancy. Ambroxol hydrochloride merges into breast milk, so taking ambroxol hydrochloride STADA® is not recommended during breastfeeding.

The active ingredient is amBroxolhydrochloride.

Ambroxolhydrochloride STADA contains 30 mg ambroxol hydrochloride per 5 ml syrup.

Each ML ambroxol hydrochloride STADA contains 6 mg ambroxol hydrochloride.

The other components are: hyetellosis, sorbitol solution 70% (not crystallizing) (Ph.EUR), glycerol (85%), benzoic acid, acesulfam potassium, strawberry aroma (propylene glycol, glycerol, 2-ethyl-3-hydroxy-4h -pyran-4-on, ethyllactate, methylcinnamate, Butteracid, pentanic acid, hexanic acid, butan-2,3-dion), vanilla aroma (ammonsulfite sugar acid (E150D), propylene glycol), cleaned water.

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients mentioned above, the product should not be used.

Dosage recommendation of Ambroxolhydrochloride Stada 30 mg/5 ml syrup (pack size: 250 ml):

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this package insert or follow the consultation made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.

The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents over 12 years 3 times a day 5 ml for 2-3 days, then 5 ml twice a day.

Children from 6- 12 years 2 to 3 times a day 2.5 ml.
Children from 2-5 years 3 times a day 1.25 ml.

The pack contains a measuring spoon to facilitate the intake of the syrup. Ambroxolhydrochloride STADA can be taken over or regardless of meals.

• Warnings and Precautions
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
  • If you suffer from a limited kidney function or serious liver disease, this medicine may only be taken on medical instruction.
  • If you suffer from a rare disease of the bronchi, which is associated with excessive secretion collection (e.g. Malignes Zilien syndrome), the mucus cannot be removed from the lungs. In this case, take this medicine only under medical control.
  • If you do not detect the complaints or after 4 - 5 days of treatment, if you do not detect any improvement, end treatment with this preparation and see your doctor immediately.
  • In connection with the use of ambroxol hydrochloride, there were reports on severe skin reactions. If you have a rash (including mucous membrane damage in the mouth, neck, nose, eye and genital area), please end the use of this medicine and immediately get medical advice.
• Children
  • The medicine must not be used in small children under 2 years.

 

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • Studies on the effects of ambroxol hydrochloride on the traffic and ability to use machines have not been carried out. However, there is no evidence of influencing traffic and the ability to use machines through this medicine.

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this drug.
• Pregnancy
  • There is no evidence of side effects during pregnancy. Nevertheless, this medicine should not be taken during the first 3 months of pregnancy.
