We use these swabs AFTER the insulin injection. Please do not take it beforehand. The syringe is very fine. Bacteria could get into the puncture wound rather than being of any use. But if something should happen, the bacteria can be rendered harmless afterwards. Otherwise you should wait 5 minutes.
