Field of use

• The drug is a peeling and antibacterial solution for use on the skin.
• It is used to relieve easier acne.

10 mg salicylic acid

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used
  • in case of hypersensitivity to salicylic acid and salicylate or one of the other components of the medicine
  • for infants and children who have not yet reached the age of 4,
  • in patients with restricted kidney function. Here, the medicine may only be used in a maximum of 10 cm² in exceptional cases on a body area of a maximum of 10 cm².
  • on mucous membranes, in the mouth, in or at the eye as well as in the genital area as well as internal.

dosage

• Always apply the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the medicine is applied thinly to the sick skin areas 1 to 2 times a day.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The medicine must be applied according to medical instructions or until the disease heals.

 

• If you have used a larger amount than you should
  • Continue the treatment with the normal amount next time.
  • Poisoning after external use of the drug have not yet become known.
  • With intended use of the drug, salicylic acid blood level above 5 mg/dl and poisoning (intoxications) are not to be expected.
  • Poisoning symptoms can only be expected from blood levels of more than 30 mg/dl. Then the ears, ear noises, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, irritability and the feeling of dryness of the mucous membranes can occur. As a countermeasure, stopping the preparation is sufficient.
  • In the event of accidental or intended drinking larger amounts of the drug, measures for detoxification may be necessary, especially in children.
  • Notify your doctor. If necessary, a poisoning center should be called.

 

• If you have forgotten the application of the drug
  • After a forgotten single dose, please do not apply the double amount of the drug, but resume treatment with the intended dose.

 

• If you cancel the application
  • If you cancel the application of the drug, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• The medicine is a solution to use on the skin.
• With each application, please proceed as follows:
  • First clean your skin and then dry it off.
  • Soak a cotton ball with the medicine
  • Pat or rub your skin with the cotton ball so that a thin fluid film is created on the diseased skin.

• Particular caution when using the drug is required
  • since a daily dose of 0.2 g salicylic acid (= 20 ml of the drug) must not be exceeded in children over 4 years.

  • There are no special precautions required.

  • The medicine may only be used in pregnancy (area less than 5 cm²) during pregnancy.
• Breastfeeding
  • The drug must not be applied to the breastfeeding breast. The random absorption of salicylic acid through the infant through contact with the treated part of the body must be avoided. If the doctor considers regular treatment of large skin areas with the medicine, it must be carried out early, since risks cannot be ruled out due to a lack of detoxification in newborns.

- The drug is only intended for external use on the skin. Therefore, the drug must not be applied internally on mucous membranes, in the mouth, in or at the eye and in the genital area.
