Field of use

• The preparation is a yeast -aging polyenantibiotic.
• It is used for topical treatment of nystin-sensitive fungal infections of the mouth and throat, the esophagus and the gastrointestinal tract (candidain infection).

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken,
  • if you are hypersensitive to Nystatin, or one of the other components of this medicine.

dosage

• Always take the preparation exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Dosage:
  • Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
    • Baby:
      • In the event of an infestation of mouth, throat and esophagus (e.g. oral thrust), the infant should be dripped into the mouth 3 - 6 times a day 0.5 - 1ml suspension (50,000 - 100,000 i.e. Nystatin).
      • If the gastrointestinal tract infested 3 - 6 times a day, 1 - 2 ml suspension (100,000 - 200,000 I.E. Nystatin) drizzle your mouth.
    • Children and adults:
      • If the mouth, throat and esophagus infestation (e.g. oral thrust), should be dripped into the mouth 3 - 6 times a day 1 ml of suspension (100,000 i.e. Nystatin).

   

• Duration of the application:
  • When treating yeast infections, all foci of infection must be completely eliminated in order to avoid relapses.
  • In order to achieve permanent success of treatment, you should take the preparation regularly for at least 2 weeks.
  • A therapy extension is possible in persistent illness cases.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should:
  • If you observe side effects with you, please take the preparation and contact your doctor or pharmacist.

 

• If you have forgotten the application:
  • Do not take the double dose, but use the application as stated here or has been prescribed by your doctor.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of this medicine, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.

 

Taking

• The suspension should be taken after meals.
• The suspension should be moved in the mouth as long as possible before it is swallowed. When treating the esophagus, the suspension should be swallowed as far as possible.
• You should shake the suspension vigorously before each use.

Patient information

• Special caution in the one name is required:
  • Children:
    • Due to the high osmolarity of Nystatin, an application for very underweight and immature premature babies is advised.

 

• Wateriness and the operating of Maschine:
  • There are no special steps required.

Pregnancy

• Nystatin, the active ingredient of the preparation, is hardly absorbed in therapeutic dosage after oral gift, over the intact skin or over the mucous membranes. The placenta barrier does not happen, and a transfer to breast milk is also not to be expected.
• The medicine can be used during pregnancy and lactation.

Miscellaneous

Nystatin preparations for taking are not suitable for the treatment of fungal attack on the entire body.

- If there is no healing success, the treatment must be checked by the doctor.
- When treating fungal infections, all mushroom stoves on the skin and the mucous membranes must be treated in order to avoid relapses that arise from untreated mushroom herds.
