Field of use

ACIC for lip herpes (pack size: 2 g) is a medicine that is used to relieve pain and itching with frequently recurring herpes infections with blistering in the lip area (recurrent herpes labialis).

Mode of action

The active ingredient aciclovir contained in acic in lip herpes (pack size: 2 g) combats certain viruses by damaging their genetic material. This means that reproduction is stopped.

Contradictions

You may not apply ACIC for lip herpes (pack size: 2 g) in the event of hypersensitivity to Aciclovir.

dosage

The medicine should be applied by means of a cotton swab by being coated with an amount necessary for the size of the infected skin areas.

When applying, care should be taken to ensure that not only the already visible signs of the herpes (blisters, swelling, redness) are covered with the cream, but also that adjacent areas are also included in the treatment.

If the application is applied by hand, it should be washed thoroughly beforehand and afterwards to prevent additional infection of the damaged skin areas or the transmission of the viruses to non -infected mucosa and skin areas.

General treatment duration 5 days.

  • Please note the following warnings before and during treatment with the medicine:
    • The cream must not be applied to mucous membranes (e.g. in the oral cavity, on the eye or in the vagina), otherwise local irritation symptoms can be expected. In particular, an accidental contact of the cream with the eyes must be avoided
    • If you have a serious disorder of the body's immune defense (e.g. AIDS or according to bone marrow transplants), you must go tospeak to a doctor. In this case, it may be prescribed in tablet form.

  

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • So far, no effects on the ability to drive and the ability to operate machines have become known.
